Attention parents and students,
Here's how to succeed in AP Physics 1...
A few years ago, Jennifer's mom reached out to me for because Jennifer had failed her last quiz. Jennifer has usually done well in school, but AP Physics 1 was a big struggle.
During our first session, we went over problems from her quiz. It was clear to me she understood the general ideas and equations, but she didn't quite get how to apply them. So we went through a few examples together. I explained how I would setup the problem and how I would use the equations to solve it.
After going through 6 examples in our session, Jennifer had no problem redoing any of the quiz problems from scratch, and she was able to do a more complicated problem I gave her at the end. She said "Wow that was actually really easy. I wish my teacher explained it like that."
The root of the problem is that Jennifer was taught the general idea of that unit, but she wasn't taught how to actually solve problems.
After working with her on problem solving, by the end of the year, she ended up with an A in the class and a 5 on the AP exam.
As a professional tutor, I've seen Jennifer's story repeated over and over, just with a different name. Problem solving is difficult to teach and takes time to master.
The 3 Solutions Most Students Try
1. Study harder and work more problems on their own
❌ It takes too long
This method is what I did in college. Unfortunately, this takes up a lot of time. I spent 10-20 hours per week on homework problems in my college physics class. Not everyone has that kind of time to put in for just 1 class.
2. Use YouTube or Khan Academy
❌ Not effective at teaching how to solve problems
They're great for learning a new concept, but there's not a lot of emphasis on how to actually solve problems.
3. Hire a tutor
❌ It's expensive and hard to find a good tutor
A good physics tutor will cost at least $300 per month (parents pay me closer to $500 per month).
Is There a Better Way?
Kids need to see way more examples of how to solve problems. Otherwise, they'll just be struggling to make little to no progress.
So I've built an entire system focused on problem solving.
✅ Clear and Easy-to-Understand Explanations
Dozens of short video summaries (less than 15 minutes) covering problem solving techniques so that your child can quickly learn how to solve problems.
✅ Step-by-step Examples
Over 300 example problems with step-by-step solutions so that your child can learn from actual examples until they fully master the topic.
✅ Direct Support
Students can post questions on any lesson or problem that I will personally answer so your child will have the support from an expert physics instructor.

Back-to-School Special Deal!
All parents want their kids to do well and feel confident, and I want that to. Last year, my clients each paid me over $4000 in tutoring fees for AP Physics 1.
But my time is limited, and I want as many as students as possible to achieve success. That's why I'm giving access to the same tried-and-true methodology at the lowest rate possible...
$27 per month!
Normally $50 per month
Start now before they fall behind...
This sale is only for a limited time only because physics is a class that builds on foundations. The further your child falls behind, the harder it will be to catch up. So if they are already struggling with some of the material, they should get help as quickly as possible.
Try Risk-Free for 30 Days!
I'm confident that your child will succeed with this course. If you dont see any benefits or your child doesn't see any improvement, simply email me at email@example.com for a full refund, no questions asked.
Here are the next steps...

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if my child still gets stuck on an example problem?
A: Each example problem has a discussion section right in the course player. They can post directly in there to ask any question they like. I, personally, answer every single question.
Q: What if my child doesn't find the content very helpful?
A: I would encourage them to ask more questions in the discussion section. If it really just isn't working out, I understand. You can cancel the subscription at any time. And there's also a 30-day refund policy. Simply contact me at email@example.com and I'll refund you.
Q: When I click on the link, the price says $50 per month instead of the discounted rate.
A: Try using the coupon code "back2school". If that doesn't work, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Q: What if I have other questions?
A: Please reach out to me at allen@bothellstemcoach, and I'd be happy to answer them.
Meet the instructor, Allen Tsao
Hi, I'm the founder of Bothell STEM Coach. I graduated with high honors (top 10% of all engineering students) from UC Berkeley with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I also received his Master's in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. I've always had a love of tutoring ever since I tutored in college for other EECS students. After working for 13 years as an engineer, I decided to take my love of tutoring and focus on it full-time.
I've tutored thousands of hours, and helped over 100 students accomplish their goals from learning algebra to preparing for electrical engineering finals. My philosophy has always been to have a deep understanding of "why" instead of trying to memorize facts and formulas.
