Who we are
Bothell STEM Coach teaches AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C, and AP Calculus, and we've worked with 600+ families since 2022.
A lot of our students are used to being good at school. Physics or calculus is the first class that pushes back. We teach them a process for breaking hard problems down, so they stop backing away from hard things. Parents see their kid gain confidence, not just a better grade.

Who this is for
People who are good with worried parents and nervous teens.

You're patient. You listen more than you talk. And you're comfortable being straight with people, including when the straight answer is "this isn't the right fit for your kid."
This is not a high-pressure sales job.
No fake urgency, no cornering anyone, no talking a family into something that won't help their kid.
If you've been rewarded for closing at any cost, this won't feel like home. If that kind of selling always made you uncomfortable, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
What the work is
- 30-minute conversations with parents, often with their teen on the call too. They've already booked the time and watched a video about the program, so they arrive with real questions.
- About 1 to 3 calls a day, around 2 on average, with more on weekends.
- Reminder texts before calls, and follow-up with families who miss theirs.
- Most conversations are about AP Physics 1. We also teach AP Physics 2, AP Physics C, and AP Calculus.

Every good-fit family you enroll is a student who gets through a class that was about to beat them.
Pay
Base salary plus 8 to 10% commission on sales.
We work out the details together when we talk in the interview.

Questions
Is this sales?
The goal of each call is to enroll families who are a good fit, so yes, in that sense. But the families have already booked the call and watched a video about the program. Your job is to listen, answer honestly, and help them decide. If we're not the right fit, you tell them.
What hours would I work?
Families book the calls: about 1 to 3 a day, around 2 on average, with more on weekends. It's part-time, and weekend availability helps. You'll tell us your available hours in the application.
Do I need to know physics or calculus?
No. You need to understand the program, not the physics, and we train you on it.
Is this fully remote?
Yes. You need to be based in the US and able to work US hours.
