Learn How I Help My Best Students
The Big Problem...

When students come to me for the first time, it's always the same problem. No matter what the subject is or the level of difficulty, the problem is always that the student just doesn't know how to break down a problem and solve it.

The key is practice. Practice is how you get better at playing tennis, playing the piano, learning to skateboard, or any other skill.
How It Works
Solid Foundation
The reason most students don't have confidence and can't do well is they lack a proper foundation. Physics, Calculus, and all other STEM subjects require a solid foundation. We can't just take equations and plug in numbers without understanding the reason why. Each unit builds on top of itself, and without a full understanding of the previous topic, students cannot learn the next topic.

The Right Support
Most 1-on-1 tutors charge by the hour, and you only get support during that hour. However, to unlock students potential, they need support throughout the week. And every student needs support in different ways. Not only do I provide live lessons, but I have office hours as well as messaging where students can get support throughout the week.

Learning By Example
A lot of students are just given a lesson and expected to figure out problems on their own. But my students have greater success when they learn by example. They need to see lots of examples on *how* to solve problems, and then they can put them into practice. Without examples, students will just spin their wheels on problems they're stuck on.

I have tutored over 4000 hours and helped over 300 students succeed in their classes. My AP Physics 1 and AP Calculus students have all at least scored a 3 on their exams (many with 4s or 5s). I've successfully helped students succeed at difficult schools like Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Cornell, Georgia Tech, and University of Pennsylvania.

I've been through the grinder. At Berkeley and Stanford, I was taking 3 or 4 technical courses each semester. My first semester was a struggle to handle courses that were moving so quickly and learning very difficult material. I know what it's like to struggle with difficult courses, and I can help your child learn from my experience.
